                               RESOLUTION NO. 20769
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR
                  ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
                  SERVICES TO EXECUTE A BARGAIN PURCHASE AND
                  SALE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA
                  AND ROCK-TENN CONVERTING COMPANY FOR THE
                  PURCHASE OF A SITE TO BE USED FOR THE
                  CHATTANOOGA-HAMILTON COUNTY STADIUM PROJECT
                  AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR
                  ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
                  SERVICES AND THE CITY FINANCE OFFICER TO
                  CONSUMMATE THE PURCHASE OF SAID SITE.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor or Administrator of the
       Department of General Services be and are hereby authorized to
       execute a Bargain Purchase and Sale Agreement between the City of 

       Chattanooga and Rock-Tenn Converting Company for the purchase of 
a
       site to be used for the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Stadium
       Project in substantially the form attached hereto and 
incorporated
       herein by reference.
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor or Administrator
       of the Department of General Services and the City Finance 
Officer
       be and are hereby authorized to consummate the purchase of said
       site.
